OCHA oPt (UN/humanitarian) reports 73,335 Palestinian fatalities and 174,052 injuries in Gaza as of 29 July 2026. OCHA states that these casualty figures are supplied by the Gaza Ministry of Health and Israeli authorities and remain attributed pending UN verification. The same snapshot records 472 reported fatalities and 3,004 injuries since the 11 October 2025 ceasefire.
A dated update by WAFA: Palestinian News & Information Agency (Palestinian official) had previously reported 71,441 Palestinians killed and 171,329 injured, as well as 451 killed and 1,251 injured since the ceasefire. The difference reflects the dates and source-attribution context of the updates rather than a reconciliation by this report.
UNRWA (UN agency), citing OCHA, reports that 1,122 Palestinians, including at least 246 children, were killed in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, from 7 October 2023 to 24 July 2026.
For injuries, the report uses a transparent component calculation from OCHA’s published data. OCHA — West Bank Snapshot (UN/humanitarian) recorded 3,502 injuries from 7 October to 14 December 2023; OCHA oPt — casualty data (UN/humanitarian) records 10,342 in 2024, 13,342 in 2025, and 4,759 through 2 August 2026. Together these published components sum to 31,945; this is not presented as a single current OCHA cumulative statistic.
UNIFIL (UN agency) reports that violence in southern Lebanon has declined from mid-June, while violations of Security Council Resolution 1701, explosive hazards, and humanitarian-access needs continue. It says peacekeepers are supporting aid delivery, infrastructure recovery, and returns in affected communities.
On 29 July, the U.S. Department of State (Western government) announced designations of two Iranian entities and eight vessel-operating companies connected, in its stated assessment, to sanctions evasion and maritime activity in the Strait of Hormuz. These characterisations and policy rationale are attributed to the U.S. government.
OHCHR — Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine (UN agency) verified at least 293 civilians killed and 1,990 injured in June 2026. It recorded 2,226 civilian casualties in territory controlled by the Government of Ukraine and 57 in territory occupied by the Russian Federation; its reporting notes the severe access limitation for Russian-occupied areas.
RT (Russian state) reports Russian regional officials’ claim that a 25 July Ukrainian drone strike on tourist bases in Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia killed 12 people, including four children, and injured 19. This is presented as a Russian official claim and has not been independently verified by this report.
OCHA Sudan (UN/humanitarian) reports escalating violence in North Kordofan, civilian and infrastructure harm, and persistent explosive-ordnance risks for returning families. Its 2026 response planning figures identify 33.7 million people needing assistance, 20.4 million targeted for aid, and a US$2.9 billion requirement.
ACLED (conflict-data provider) assesses that SAF gains at Bara, Um Sayala, and Gebrat al-Sheikh may strengthen a supply route and improve pressure around El Obeid; this is analytical assessment, not a forecast. WHO (UN agency) reports more than 40,000 conflict injuries, while nationwide death estimates remain highly uncertain because of insecurity and limited reporting.
OCHA Myanmar (UN/humanitarian) reports that more than 16 million people need assistance amid intensifying conflict, displacement, protection risks, and access constraints. Nearly 3.8 million people are displaced; by the end of March, partners had reached 1.6 million people, while 43 per cent of the US$890 million response requirement had been received.
UNHCR (UN agency) reports 5.3 million people forcibly displaced across the Myanmar situation at the end of March 2026, including 3.7 million internally displaced people in Myanmar and 1.6 million refugees and asylum-seekers. It also reports 1.85 million stateless Rohingya in the broader situation.
