Gaza Strip

Gaza's Health Ministry reported 73,356 Palestinians killed and 174,185 injured since 7 October 2023 as of 2 August. It also reported 1,230 killed and 4,076 injured since the October 2025 ceasefire. WAFA (Palestinian official)

West Bank

OCHA reported that 1,109 Palestinians, including 243 children, had been killed by Israeli forces or settlers in the West Bank since 7 October 2023 as of the end of June. Lebanon

UN News reported that UNIFIL recorded 125 Israeli airspace violations over Lebanon between Thursday and Sunday, amounting to more than 418 combined hours of overflight. The report also described continuing civilian impact from regional hostilities and attacks in Gaza. UN News (UN agency)

Iran–US

U.S. Central Command said it struck dozens of IRGC targets in Iran on 29 July, describing the action as a response to attempted Iranian missile attacks on U.S. forces. This is the U.S. military's account of the operation and its stated trigger. U.S. Central Command (Western government)

Al Jazeera reported that President Trump said new talks would begin, while an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said Iran was not hosting or visiting a delegation at that time. It reported that Iran-Oman discussions were focused on Strait of Hormuz management; the timing and form of any U.S.-Iran negotiation therefore remained uncertain. Al Jazeera (regional news source)

Russia–Ukraine Conflict

OHCHR verified at least 293 civilians killed and 1,990 injured in Ukraine in June 2026. It counted 2,226 civilian casualties in territory controlled by Ukraine and 57 in territory occupied by the Russian Federation; the location totals are not separately disaggregated into killed and injured in the monthly report. Russian Perspective: RT, citing Saratov's governor, reported two civilians killed and several wounded after a Ukrainian drone attack in Saratov Region on 2 August, and said the Defence Ministry reported 635 intercepted Ukrainian drones across 16 regions overnight. A United Nations in Ukraine release separately reported the Russian authorities' first-half 2026 claim of 250 civilians killed and 1,596 injured in Russia. These are attributed Russian accounts. Sudan

OCHA reported escalating violence in North Kordofan, damage to critical civilian infrastructure, and continuing explosive-ordnance risks for families attempting to return. ACLED recorded more than 50 drone strikes and more than 110 reported fatalities in North Kordofan during June, and assessed the state as a central arena of contestation between the RSF and SAF. Cumulative death counts are highly uncertain: a July UK government report gave an indicative 20,000–150,000 range and noted that ACLED's 52,904 recorded fatalities were undercounts; ACLED likewise describes its dataset as a conservative minimum of direct conflict deaths. Myanmar

OCHA reported more than 16 million people in need and nearly 3.8 million displaced across Myanmar. Armed hostilities, movement restrictions, and administrative requirements continued to impede humanitarian access, while only 43 per cent of the US$890 million response requirement had been funded.
