Middle East

Gaza Strip

OCHA reported that 59 Palestinians were killed and more than 190 injured between 15 and 22 July, taking the reported toll since the 10 October 2025 ceasefire announcement to 1,180 killed and 3,810 injured. OCHA oPt (UN/humanitarian)

UNRWA described a deteriorating operating environment, including restrictions on lubricant oil and spare parts that affected more than half of its fleet and 62 water wells, reducing its clean-water production and distribution by 42 per cent. The agency relayed Ministry of Health figures, as reported by the Health Cluster, of 73,246 Palestinians killed and 173,727 injured in Gaza through 24 July. UNRWA (UN agency)

West Bank

OCHA reported 36 Palestinians injured during the 14–20 July reporting period and said fatalities linked to settler attacks in 2026 had reached 18 by 20 July. It also recorded more than 1,330 settler attacks since the beginning of the year. OCHA oPt (UN/humanitarian)

UNRWA, citing OCHA data, reported that 1,122 Palestinians, including at least 246 children, had been killed in the occupied West Bank including East Jerusalem between 7 October 2023 and 24 July 2026; 76 of those deaths were recorded in 2026. UNRWA (UN agency)

Lebanon

ACLED assessed that violence declined in Lebanon during June, but Israeli military pressure persisted. It characterised the situation as one in which Israel and Hezbollah had scaled back hostilities while maintaining military pressure, underscoring that Lebanon remains an active regional security concern. Iran–US Diplomatic Situation

ACLED described the 17 June US–Iran memorandum of understanding as a fragile negotiation framework rather than a settled peace. It reported a four-day exchange of fire in late June after an IRGC strike on a commercial vessel, with subsequent US strikes on Iranian coastal and military infrastructure and Iranian launches toward US-linked sites. UN News reported that the Secretary-General warned against wider escalation after renewed Houthi attacks on commercial vessels. It cited International Maritime Organization information that at least 6,000 crew members on about 400 vessels remained stranded in the Strait of Hormuz, and relayed OHCHR information that 17 seafarers had been killed since the conflict began. Russia–Ukraine Conflict

OHCHR verified at least 293 civilians killed and 1,990 injured in Ukraine in June 2026, the highest combined monthly civilian-casualty total since April 2022. It said the vast majority of those casualties occurred in territory controlled by the Government of Ukraine. OHCHR Ukraine (UN agency)

Russian-state outlet RT said Moscow’s forces had targeted Ukrainian ports, vessels, military-linked facilities, and mining-industry targets, presenting the operations as a response to what it called attacks on Russian civilians. In a separate report, RT cited the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and a regional governor in claiming that a Ukrainian drone attack killed 12 people and injured 19 in Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia Region; this remains an official Russian claim. Sudan

ACLED recorded more than 50 drone strikes across North Kordofan in June, with over 110 reported fatalities—about a 70 per cent increase in reported drone-strike fatalities from the preceding month. It described continuing competition between the RSF and SAF around El Obeid, with attacks also affecting civic infrastructure. ACLED (conflict-data provider)

UNICEF reported that at least 23 children had reportedly been killed and 25 injured in North Kordofan in the two months after conflict intensified around Al Obeid, while at least 330 children were reportedly killed or injured across Sudan in the first half of 2026. The UK Government cautioned that conflict-related fatality estimates vary widely, citing a range of 20,000 to 150,000 deaths and noting that available tallies are undercounts. Asia

Myanmar

OCHA reported that more than 16 million people in Myanmar require humanitarian assistance as conflict, displacement, protection risks, and access constraints intensify. Nearly 3.8 million people were estimated to be displaced, including more than 100,000 people newly displaced in Magway after recent hostilities. OCHA Myanmar (UN/humanitarian)

By the end of March, humanitarian partners had reached 1.6 million people, including 832,000 people in the hyper-prioritized caseload.
