Gaza Strip

UNRWA Situation Report #231 (UN agency) reports that, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health as relayed by the Health Cluster, 73,246 Palestinians were reported killed and 173,727 injured between 7 October 2023 and 24 July 2026. The report says this includes 1,180 fatalities and 3,810 injuries from the 10 October 2025 ceasefire announcement through 22 July; these are reported figures, not an independent UNRWA casualty count.

Access and service conditions remain constrained. OCHA oPt — Humanitarian Situation Report, 10 July 2026 (UN/humanitarian) describes movement restrictions, new displacement and shortages affecting water and sanitation services; UNOCHA — oPt Humanitarian Situation Report, 23 July 2026 (UN/humanitarian) reports nearly 4,000 miscarriages recorded in the first half of 2026 and extensive debris that remains inaccessible.

West Bank

According to OCHA data cited by UNRWA Situation Report #231 (UN agency), 1,122 Palestinians, including at least 246 children, were killed in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, between 7 October 2023 and 24 July 2026. The current update does not state a cumulative injury total for that full period; the table preserves this source limitation rather than supplying an inferred value.

Settler violence, demolitions and restrictions continued to affect communities and services. UNOCHA — oPt Humanitarian Situation Report, 23 July 2026 (UN/humanitarian) reports about 880 Palestinians injured in settler attacks during 2026 as of 20 July, while OCHA oPt — Humanitarian Situation Report, 10 July 2026 (UN/humanitarian) reports more than 3,200 people displaced across the West Bank in 2026 by settler attacks and demolitions.

Lebanon

The Lebanon topic remains active. OHCHR Special Procedures — Lebanon escalation (UN agency) reports that independent UN experts cited more than 4,300 people reportedly killed and more than 12,000 injured since the 2 March escalation, while noting that these are reported figures and presenting the experts' own legal assessment. UN News / UNIFIL — Grim homecoming (UN agency) describes a reduction in heavy fighting after a ceasefire arrangement but continued daily Resolution 1701 violations and obstacles to safe return.

Iran–US

Hostilities and the Strait of Hormuz remain active concerns. UN News — Civilians again under fire as US–Iran strikes continue (UN agency) reported ongoing attacks and a near-closure of the Strait; it relayed Iranian health-authority figures of 50 killed and more than 500 injured during July. UN News — Guterres urges US and Iran to resume negotiations (UN agency) also reported three merchant ships struck and renewed calls for negotiations and freedom of navigation.

Eastern Europe

Russia–Ukraine Conflict

OHCHR — Protection of Civilians in Armed Conflict, June 2026 (UN agency) recorded at least 293 civilians killed and 1,990 injured in Ukraine in June. Its note says 2,226 of 2,283 civilian casualties occurred in territory controlled by Ukraine and 57 in territory occupied by the Russian Federation; the public summary does not supply a killed/injured split for the occupied-territory subset.

Russian-state reporting should be treated as attributed claims. RT — Ukrainian drones deliberately targeted Russian civilians in deadly warehouse attack (Russian state), citing local officials, reported seven workers killed and 25 injured in a claimed 18 July Ukrainian drone strike. This account is not presented as independently verified.

Africa

Sudan

UNOCHA — Sudan Humanitarian Update, May–June 2026 (UN/humanitarian) reports escalating violence in North Kordofan, damage to civilian infrastructure and continuing explosive-ordnance risks for returning families. UNICEF — Sudan Humanitarian Situation Report, May 2026 (UN agency) estimates 33.7 million people and 17.3 million children need assistance.

Casualty estimates require particular care. UK Government — Sudan security situation, July 2026 (Western government) says conflict-death estimates range from 20,000 to 150,000 and are indicative undercounts; it reports ACLED's 52,904 combined civilian and combatant fatalities as of June. The range is therefore presented as an estimate, not as a settled total.

Asia

Myanmar

UNOCHA — Myanmar Humanitarian Update No. 52 (UN/humanitarian) reports more than 16 million people needing assistance, nearly 3.8 million displaced and more than 100,000 newly displaced in Magway amid recent hostilities. Humanitarian Action / OCHA — Myanmar HNRP 2026 (UN/humanitarian) lists 16.2 million people in need and 4.9 million targeted for assistance.

The Hindu / Reuters — Myanmar military escalates civilian killings (Indian mainstream) carries Reuters reporting that attributes more than a dozen mass killings and over 450 civilian fatalities in the first half of 2026 to ACLED, while noting the report's stated limits on independent verification of specific accounts.
