Gaza Strip

Palestinian health authorities reported on 2 August that 73,356 Palestinians had been killed and 174,185 injured in Gaza since 7 October 2023. They also reported 1,230 deaths and 4,076 injuries since the October 2025 ceasefire; these are health-authority figures reported through a Palestinian official outlet. WAFA (Palestinian official)

UNRWA's 30 July situation report, citing Health Cluster reporting, recorded a slightly earlier cumulative total through 24 July and described a deteriorating operating environment, including constraints on fuel, spare parts and water production. West Bank

According to OCHA figures cited by UNRWA, 1,122 Palestinians, including at least 246 children, were killed in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, between 7 October 2023 and 24 July 2026; 76 of those deaths occurred in 2026 through that date. UNRWA (UN agency)

Lebanon

Hostilities remain active in southern Lebanon. OCHA reported persistent daily airstrikes, artillery shelling and demolitions, 4,333 deaths and 12,236 injuries since 2 March, and 360,132 people still displaced as of 29 July. OCHA Lebanon (UN/humanitarian)

Iran–US Developments

The UN reported renewed strikes in Iran's Fars, Hormozgan, Bushehr and Khuzestan provinces amid the regional escalation. It cited Iranian Ministry of Health figures of at least 60 people killed and 670 injured since hostilities escalated again a month earlier; those figures are attributed to the ministry and are not presented as independently verified totals. Russia–Ukraine Conflict

OHCHR recorded at least 293 civilian deaths and 1,990 injuries in Ukraine in June 2026, the highest monthly total since April 2022. It recorded 2,226 civilian casualties in territory controlled by the Government of Ukraine and 57 in territory occupied by the Russian Federation, while noting that verification in occupied areas is constrained by access. Russian authorities reported that two civilians were killed and others injured after Ukrainian drone debris struck Engels and Saratov, alongside claims about intercepted drones. This account is attributed to Russian state media and has not been independently verified here. RT (Russian state)

Sudan

Fighting continues to reshape the front line around Kordofan. ACLED has published recent analysis on SAF operations north of El Obeid and violence near the Chadian border; it characterises the conflict as a struggle between the SAF and RSF that began in April 2023. ACLED (conflict-data provider)

UNICEF reported at least 23 children killed and 25 injured in North Kordofan in the two months after conflict intensified around Al Obeid, and at least 330 children killed or injured nationwide in the first half of 2026. Myanmar

OCHA estimates that more than 16 million people need humanitarian assistance in Myanmar and nearly 3.8 million are displaced. It reported that recent hostilities in Magway alone displaced more than 100,000 people and that 43 per cent of the US$890 million humanitarian requirement had been received by mid-year.
